Strategy's Bitcoin Holdings Swing Back into Profit
Strategy's Bitcoin holdings have turned profitable after a five-day rally pushed the price above its $75,385 average cost basis. The company holds 840,447 BTC, worth approximately $64.97 billion at current prices.
The turnaround marks a sharp reversal from July when Strategy's holdings were about $13 billion underwater. Bitcoin surged nearly 23% over five consecutive days, its strongest run in months, driven partly by the Clarity Act push in Congress and CFTC preparations for crypto market rules.
Strategy shares rose roughly 10% in pre-market trading to $120, their highest level in two months. The company has recently sold nearly 7,000 BTC to fund preferred-stock buybacks and liquidity, a departure from its former 'never sell' stance.
