Strategy's Bitcoin Holdings Turn Profitable as Cryptocurrency Surges
Strategy Inc., a company that invests in Bitcoin, has seen its holdings turn profitable after the cryptocurrency surged by 24%.
The company raised $2 billion through stock sales last week, using part of the funds to add to its USD Reserve, which now stands at $5.1 billion.
Strategy acquired its 840,447 BTC position at an average price of $75,385 per Bitcoin and currently holds it at a price near $78,000, resulting in roughly $2.4 billion in unrealized profit.
The company has also created a new liquidity pool called USD Cash, which will be used for various purposes such as buying Bitcoin or repurchasing shares.
