Strategy's Bitcoin Reduction Sparks Fears of Market Shift

Strategy, the firm led by Michael Saylor, has made its first reduction in Bitcoin holdings in over three years. The company sold 32 BTC between May 26 and 31 for an average price of $77,135 per coin, or a total of $2.5 million.

This move broke a long-standing trend of accumulation and sparked fears that one of the market's most consistent buyers could become less active. Bitcoin fell 4% to trade below $70,000 on Tuesday as markets digested the news.

Analyst James Check of Checkonchain described the sale as a 'de-risking event,' where Strategy sold BTC to meet its obligations rather than risk a forced liquidation in the future.
