Strategy's Bitcoin Sales Sink $102M Amid Dividend Pressures
Strategy's bitcoin sales have resulted in over $102 million in cumulative realized losses, according to Cryptoquant analysts.
The company has sold BTC below its average purchase price to fund dividend and buyback obligations, with proceeds going toward preferred-stock dividends and STRC share repurchases.
Strategy still holds around 840,000 BTC, but this comes with an unrealized loss of nearly $10.6 billion due to the current market price being below its cost basis.
The company's annual preferred-stock dividend obligations have increased significantly, reaching $1.2 billion and nearly quadrupling since last year.
