Strategy's Bitcoin Stash Soars Past $2.8 Billion Profit Mark
Strategy's massive Bitcoin stash has seen significant gains due to the recent price surge. With a value of around $66.4 billion, it marks about a 4.4% gain over its average purchase price of $75,653.
The company's 840,447 BTC was worth roughly $79,007 per coin at the peak, according to CoinGecko data. This increase puts Strategy more than $2.8 billion in profit.
Michael Saylor shared a chart on X with a two-word message: 'We're Back', sparking speculation that the company may be preparing to resume buying. However, there's no indication from Saylor whether a purchase is imminent.
Strategy hasn't added to its holdings in about two months, a notable pause for a firm that spent years accumulating aggressively under Saylor's 'never sell' mantra. The company has recently sold MSTR stock and small amounts of Bitcoin to fund preferred dividends and buybacks, marking a strategic shift from its previous buy-and-hold approach.
