Strategy's BTC Stash Surges $2.8 Billion in Profit Amid Bitcoin Rally
Michael Saylor's Strategy is sitting on a significant paper profit again thanks to Bitcoin's rally. The value of its massive BTC stash, which stands at 840,447, has climbed above what the company paid for it, marking a 4.4% gain over the average purchase price of $75,653.
This puts Strategy's position more than $2.8 billion in the green, with the company's holdings now worth roughly $66.4 billion at Bitcoin's current price of around $79,007 per CoinGecko.
Saylor shared a chart on X alongside a two-word message: 'We're Back.' The post has stoked speculation that Strategy is preparing to resume buying, as the company typically discloses its weekly BTC purchases on Monday mornings and Saylor's charts have historically served as teasers ahead of those announcements.
The recent shift in Strategy's behavior is notable, as the firm hasn't added to its holdings in about two months. This restraint reflects a strategic shift, with Strategy recently raising $334 million by selling MSTR stock without touching its Bitcoin. The company has even sold small amounts of BTC in recent months to fund preferred dividends and buybacks.
