Strategy's Saylor Stirs Speculation with 'We're ₿ack' Message
Michael Saylor, co-founder and former CEO of Strategy, took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a cryptic message that has left many speculating about his company's next move. The message, which read 'We're ₿ack,' was accompanied by a chart showing the company's Bitcoin purchases over the past six years, totaling more than 110 BTC.
This has led some in the community to believe that Strategy is resuming its Bitcoin accumulation strategy after a two-month pause. Recall that the firm's last announced Bitcoin purchase took place on June 22, and it paused its accumulation strategy for the following two months while focusing on rebuilding its USD reserve, which climbed above $6.5 billion last week.
Strategy also established a new program called USD Cash, consisting of $1.59 billion in addition to its regular greenback reserve of $5.1 billion. The company continued repurchasing its STRC shares, which had previously slumped from their par price of $100 to $75 but have since recovered significantly to over $97 last week.
Some users are anticipating a new Bitcoin purchase announcement on Monday, while others believe Saylor's message refers to the company's position turning green due to Bitcoin's recent price surge. As of press time, Bitcoin's price had risen from under $65,000 to over $78,500 in the past week and a half.
