Strategy's Saylor Teases Another Color, Leaving Investors Guessing
Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of Strategy, has posted another cryptic message on his X account, hinting at a new development in the company's Bitcoin holdings. The post, which reads 'We're gonna need another color,' comes after four consecutive weeks without any Bitcoin purchases by the company. This is the longest buying drought for Strategy in two years.
Strategy holds 843,775 BTC, acquired across 113 separate purchases at a cost of $63.69 billion. The current value of these holdings is approximately $54.4 billion, resulting in an unrealized loss of around $9.3 billion at Bitcoin's current price of about $64,600.
Saylor's Sunday chart posts have become a source of speculation among observers, as they often precede new transactions or announcements by the company. However, Strategy has not confirmed any new transactions for the week ending July 26. The last confirmed purchase was made between June 15 and June 21 at an average price of $67,068 per coin.
