Strategy's Saylor Vows No New Issuance Below $100 STRC Price
Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, announced that his company has repurchased 288,930 shares of STRC preferred stock for approximately $25 million. The average price per share was $86.52. According to Saylor, Strategy will continue to act as a 'regular and disciplined buyer,' buying up shares when the price is below $100.
The company plans to increase its buying intensity when the price is far from $100 and reduce it when approaching the target. Currently, Strategy has about $975 million available for preferred stock repurchases. The funds for these purchases will not come from US dollar reserves but rather through means like selling MSTR stock or Bitcoin based on market conditions.
Saylor's goal is to stabilize the STRC price around $100 and maintain high liquidity, low volatility, and healthy sustainable independent market demand. One thing is clear: Strategy will not issue new shares when the STRC price is below $100.
