Strategy's Seven-Week Bitcoin Drought Continues Amid Cash Reserve Buildup
Strategy Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, has gone seven weeks without buying Bitcoin. The company's last Bitcoin purchase was in early July.
Last week, Strategy raised $333.7 million through stock sales and used the proceeds to repurchase preferred shares, fund dividends, and add to its USD reserve. The company now holds 840,447 BTC at an average cost of $75,385 per coin.
This marks a significant shift from Strategy's past practice of buying Bitcoin every week. In recent weeks, the company has prioritized building cash reserves over accumulating more coins. Its USD reserve has nearly doubled in seven weeks to $4.8 billion, while its Bitcoin position remains unchanged.
