Strategy's Shift to Neutrality on Bitcoin
Strategy, a company known for its significant holdings of Bitcoin, has been watching its price closely. In recent months, it sold a large portion of its MSTR shares to raise funds, but did not sell any Bitcoin.
The most notable part of the latest 8-K filing is the line that reads '$, ', indicating no transactions in Bitcoin for the week of August 17-23.
This is significant because Strategy has been selling MSTR shares aggressively since May, raising over $2 billion in net proceeds. However, instead of buying Bitcoin with this money, it directed funds towards other areas such as repurchasing its own preferred stock and topping up its USD Reserve.
The company's decision to hold onto its Bitcoin is a positive signal for the market, which had been concerned about Strategy's large sales in recent months. The removal of this overhang comes at a time when spot Bitcoin ETFs are recording their strongest weekly inflows since October 2025.
