STRC Sees Surge in Institutional Adoption Amid Retail Decline
Michael Saylor has been promoting Bitcoin for some time, but his focus has shifted to STRC in recent months. He claims that institutional adoption is growing as Wall Street replaces retail investors, signaling a move towards digital credit products becoming part of traditional portfolios.
According to data shared by Saylor, STRC has become the largest holding across three major US preferred stock ETFs: BlackRock's iShares Preferred and Income Securities ETF (PPF), Virtus Infracap US Preferred Stock ETF (PFFA), and VanEck Preferred Securities ex Financials ETF (PFXF). These funds now hold approximately $756 million worth of STRC.
The ownership trend also shows a decline in retail ownership, from 78% in March to 71% by July. At the same time, institutional participation has increased, with average institutional allocations climbing 105%, reaching roughly $3.5 million per position.
