Stripe Integrates Stablecoin Payments for EU Enterprises
Stripe has expanded its crypto payments strategy in Europe by enabling enterprise customers to settle invoices in fiat-backed stablecoins. This move positions Stripe's platform more deeply within institutional crypto payment flows, as Dune's datasets show that stablecoins already clear $35 trillion in transfer volume and engage 30 million active addresses across 38 blockchains.
Through its infrastructure, Dune's European clients can now pay for onchain data products and APIs in USD-denominated stablecoins without foreign-exchange conversion. This maintains full onchain auditability for compliance and internal controls. Stripe executives describe stablecoins as being accepted 'as easily as' traditional methods.
The integration of major fiat-backed stablecoins such as USDC and USDT aligns Stripe's payment rails with how large institutions are increasingly transacting, potentially opening new revenue channels in Web3, digital assets, and cross-border services. This development broadens Stripe's position as a payment orchestrator bridging traditional finance and onchain settlement.
