Strive Acquires 1,375 Additional BTC, Eyes Overtaking Twenty One Capital
Strive, a U.S.-based company that holds Bitcoin as a treasury asset, acquired an additional 1,375 BTC for approximately $109 million (¥17 billion) between August 31 and September 4. This increased its total holdings to 24,531 BTC, valued at around $1.9 billion (¥290 billion).
The purchase was made possible by a preferred stock raise that is nearing $1 billion. The company's chairman and CEO, Matt Cole, explained in a post on X that 70% of the capital raised during the week came from sales of Strive's perpetual preferred stock, SATA.
SATA has a fixed dividend of 13% annually and currently has a principal value of $999 million (¥150 billion). This growth is part of an aggressive strategy to overtake Twenty One Capital, which holds approximately 43,514 BTC and is the world's second-largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
