Strive Adds 25,000 BTC to Treasury with $36.6 Million Purchase
Strive, a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company, has added to its impressive holdings by purchasing $36.6 million worth of BTC at an average price of $77,954 per coin. This purchase, which took place between September 8 and 11, brings the company's total BTC holdings to 25,000.
The funds for this acquisition were sourced from proceeds generated by SATA perpetual preferred stock sales, which have now exceeded $1 billion in value with outstanding shares increasing by 402,541 to 10.4 million.
This move is part of Strive's aggressive accumulation strategy, and the company's Nasdaq-listed shares have responded positively, climbing over 7% to $29 on Monday. This price increase has pushed the company's market capitalization to approximately $2.5 billion, above Metaplanet's roughly $1.9 billion.
Strive's treasury expansion and rising stock price have also triggered a potential warrant exercise, which could infuse more than $700 million in fresh capital into the company.
