Strive Becomes Fifth-Largest Corporate BTC Holder After $143M Purchase
Strive, a publicly traded asset manager and Bitcoin treasury company, has added significantly to its Bitcoin holdings. The firm acquired approximately $143 million worth of BTC between August 24th and 28th, bringing its total holdings to 23,156. This latest purchase accelerated Strive's accumulation strategy and propelled it into the ranks of the world's five biggest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders.
Strive purchased the 1,800 BTC at an average price of $79,431 per coin, including fees and expenses. This acquisition increased its holdings by roughly 8.4% in just five business days, according to Adam Livingston, an adviser to Saturn Credit. The purchase also pushed Strive past Bullish, a crypto exchange and digital asset infrastructure company, to become the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin.
This move comes as part of a broader trend of corporate Bitcoin buying, which has accelerated with the recent price rebound in BTC. Michael Saylor's Strategy, the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, announced it had resumed buying BTC for the first time since June, acquiring 4,603 Bitcoin at an average price of $80,318.
