Strive Boosts Bitcoin Holdings to 25,000 BTC with $36.6 Million Purchase
Strive, a top-five Bitcoin treasury company and asset manager, has added another 469 BTC to its holdings, bringing the total to 25,000 BTC. The purchase was made between September 8th and 11th at an average price of $77,954 per BTC, including fees and expenses.
The acquisition is part of Strive's ongoing efforts to build its Bitcoin treasury, which has become one of the largest in the industry. According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the purchase was funded entirely through proceeds from sales of SATA, the company's perpetual preferred stock, which has now surpassed $1 billion in notional value outstanding.
Strive's CEO, Matt Cole, said that the purchase was made possible by the success of SATA. He noted that the sale of SATA shares increased the number of shares outstanding to about 10.4 million.
