Strive Surges into Top Five Corporate Bitcoin Holders with $143M Acquisition
Strive, a publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin, significantly bolstered its treasury by acquiring 1,800 BTC for $143 million between August 24 and 28. The average price paid per unit was $79,431, including fees and expenses.
This purchase raised Strive's total holdings to 23,156 BTC, positioning it as the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin. The acquisition came during a broader recovery in the digital asset market, which began on August 19 after the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced plans to double the volume of buybacks on certain long-term bonds.
Strive's move displaced Bullish, an exchange dedicated to digital asset infrastructure, from fifth place among publicly traded corporate holders with the largest amount of Bitcoin. This shift reflects sector data and highlights Strive's growing presence in the market.
