Strive Surpasses $1.9 Billion in Bitcoin Holdings with Latest $109 Million Purchase
Strive has continued its aggressive bitcoin accumulation strategy by purchasing 1,375 BTC for approximately $109 million. This latest acquisition brings Strive's total bitcoin reserves to 24,531 BTC, valued at nearly $1.9 billion as of September 4, 2026.
The purchase price averages out to $79,281 per coin, which is still below the current market price. Since the beginning of the year, Strive's bitcoin holdings have grown by over 225%, with a weekly growth rate of at least 5% for three consecutive weeks.
Strive's strategy involves using its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (SATA) to fund its bitcoin purchases. The SATA instrument pays an annualized dividend of 13% distributed daily in cash, and the company has been selling these preferred shares close to their face value of $100.
While this strategy avoids conventional debt, it also carries a risk of dilution if the SATA price were to fall sustainably below its peers. As CEO Matt Cole notes, 'It's time to break the billion-dollar barrier,' with Strive approaching this milestone in the face value of its SATA shares.
