Strive's Bitcoin Bet Pays Off Despite Q2 $257M Loss
Strive's Q2 results are in, and the company posted a net loss of $257.6 million. Despite this significant financial hit, Strive continued to invest in Bitcoin, adding another 147 BTC to its treasury for a total of 20,167 BTC.
The company attributed the majority of the net loss to the decline in value of its Bitcoin holdings and stake in Strategy's preferred stock during Q2. However, revenue increased by almost 100% year-over-year to $2.94 million, with $1.4 million coming from medical device sales following the Semler Scientific merger.
Strive also made significant strides in reducing its debt, retiring all short- and long-term debt during Q2. The company now holds $154.9 million in cash and a $48.0 million stake in Strategy's preferred shares.
