Strive's Bitcoin Purchase Fails to Boost Shareholder Yield
Strive, a Bitcoin treasury company, has made significant additions to its cryptocurrency holdings. In a week from August 17 to August 21, Strive bought 1,110 BTC at an average price of about $73,409, including fees and expenses.
The total value of the purchase is approximately $81 million, bringing Strive's overall Bitcoin holdings to 21,356 BTC, up from 20,246 BTC on August 14. This represents a 5.48% increase in its holdings.
However, despite this significant addition, shareholders gained less than 2% real BTC yield. The increase in effective common shares from 86,037,123 to 89,683,423 resulted in only a 1.19% rise in Bitcoin per effective common share.
