Sui Bolsters Security with Quantum-Resistant Post-Signatures

The Sui blockchain network is integrating two post-quantum signature schemes approved by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to enhance security.

This move enables users to optionally generate keys resistant to quantum computing attacks using their existing recovery phrases.

Sui plans to implement ML-DSA-65 as a default protocol-level signature method for standard accounts, providing a robust defense against potential future quantum threats.

The network will also introduce SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s within Move smart contracts, specifically designed for high-value asset vaults.
