Sui Gets a Boost with Hashi's Bitcoin-Backed Lending Testnet

Hashi has launched a testnet on Sui, a platform that enables developers to experiment with Bitcoin-backed lending infrastructure. The system uses a Guardian Layer security model, which includes multi-layer transaction security and threshold signatures.

The Guardian Layer is designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized movement or signing failures in BTC-backed activity. It requires a 2-of-2 multisig flow between validators and independent guardians, making it harder for anyone to manipulate transactions without permission.

This development is significant because it addresses a major problem in DeFi: how to make Bitcoin useful in lending markets while minimizing the risks associated with wrapped or bridged assets. Hashi's testnet provides a sandbox environment where developers can test and refine their design before moving to mainnet.
