SUI Reversal Looms as Divergence Builds Against BTC
SUI has been struggling on its daily chart, stuck in an ongoing downtrend below all its EMAs. However, a longer-term signal against Bitcoin is looking increasingly bullish.
Analyst CryptoMichNL noted a falling wedge pattern with a bullish RSI divergence on the SUI/BTC chart, similar to what appeared at Bitcoin's recent low and other altcoin charts. This divergence has historically preceded reversals.
The ETF inflows into SUI have been consistently strong, posting 12 consecutive weeks of net inflows, adding more than 9.3 million tokens since June. Meanwhile, network activity on the Sui blockchain reached a 90-day high with over 8.5 million transactions processed in August 22.
However, despite rising usage, DeFi TVL on the SUI network still remains about 82% below its 2025 peak. The Phantom wallet is also planning to end its support for SUI on September 24, which could potentially impact user activity and liquidity.
