Sui, the Layer 1 network developed by Mysten Labs, has outpaced Aptos in recent market performance. According to CoinGecko data, SUI gained approximately 4.3% against the US dollar in the 24 hours ending May 9, 2026.

This gain is consistent with a mid-cap Layer 1 tracking broader market momentum, mirroring Solana's (SOL) similar performance of about 4.3% during the same period. Bitcoin (BTC) saw a more modest 0.2% increase in value.

The Sui network uses the Move programming language, which gives it its parallel execution capability and high throughput without workarounds required by EVM-compatible projects. This unique architecture has attracted significant developer attention, with major protocols deploying on the network.
