Sui Token Holds Ground at $0.67 Ahead of Quantum-Security Upgrade
The Sui token (SUI) has maintained its price above $0.67 as it prepares for a quantum-security upgrade, which is expected to strengthen its security proposition. The network's support area remains at this mark, with prices hovering around $0.68.
According to the roadmap, the Sui Foundation will introduce quantum-proof security features, including the SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s signature algorithm via Move smart contracts and ML-DSA-65 as a native signature scheme. These standards have been accepted by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, with the goal of making quantum-safe vaults mainnet by 2026.
However, these updates remain under development, and their impact on demand is yet to be seen. The current network activity status shows a mixed picture, with stablecoin assets up 2.15% on a 7-day basis and volume on DEXes increasing by 4.78%, but perpetuals volume falling by 17.49%.
For SUI to break above $0.70, it must first reclaim this level, which would improve its recovery structure. Losing the current support area of $0.65-$0.67 could weaken the token's price and increase the risk of further declines.
