Sun Rips into Net Worth Calculations: 'They're Just Wrong'
TRON founder Justin Sun is calling out Forbes and Bloomberg for their net worth calculations, which he claims strip 70% to 80% off his crypto holdings. According to him, this discounted slice represents his biggest bet.
Sun's traditional wealth trackers value him in the mid single-digit billions, ranking him 444th globally. However, with TRON (TRX) trading near $0.33 and a market capitalization of roughly $31.4 billion, Sun argues that the number they discount is the one that actually matters.
Sun has held most of his personal assets in crypto for 14 years, dismissing advice from advisers to rotate into real estate, stocks, or cash as 'second-best assets'. He claims that winners hold onto their assets instead of selling, citing examples such as Tesla in 2012 and Nvidia in 2016.
With the scrutiny on his businesses growing this year, including a lawsuit with World Liberty and ongoing discussions with Binance's HTX restrictions and FCA settlement, Sun says time will settle the argument about his net worth.
