Sun Sues Ex-Girlfriend Over $4.5 Million Marriage Payment

Share

Crypto billionaire Justin Sun is suing his ex-girlfriend Chinese actress Jing Tian and her parents to recover $4.5 million in marriage payments after their seven-month relationship ended earlier this year.

The lawsuit was filed in a Xi'an court, where Sun's lawyer Zhang Qihuai described the money as a betrothal gift made by Sun's family to Jing's family as they discussed marriage.

Sun had planned to have a child with Jing through surrogacy and even considered giving her an additional $50 million, but he rejected the request after consulting AI chatbot Claude from Anthropic.

Jing has denied any wrongdoing, saying she doesn't sell her love for money and believes in the law, kindness, and fairness. The dispute has become a major topic on Chinese social media, with several related terms reaching the top of Weibo's trending rankings.
