Sygnum Bank has partnered with Bancastato to integrate its regulated cryptocurrency services into Bancastato's online banking system. This integration allows clients in Switzerland's Ticino region to buy, hold, and sell four digital assets, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Solana (SOL), without opening an account at a separate exchange.

The integration is a significant step in the maturity and scalability of regulated digital asset infrastructure, according to Sygnum Chief B2B Officer Fritz Jost. By connecting its services directly to Bancastato's system, Sygnum aims to reduce friction for customers who want to access cryptocurrencies within their existing banking ecosystem.

This model reflects a growing trend in traditional finance, where banks are increasingly viewing cryptocurrency as another asset class that customers expect to access from a single account. Rather than competing with conventional finance, cryptocurrency is being integrated into existing investment offerings.
