The Symbiosis Bitcoin Bridge suffered a security breach on September 11, allowing an attacker to mint approximately 46.1 billion unbacked syBTC tokens.
The exploiter successfully exchanged only about 4.39 wrapped BTC via Uniswap, securing around $336,000 in actual profits.
Symbiosis managed to recover roughly 15 BTC, valued at approximately $1.15 million, and has stored it in a multisig wallet controlled by the team.
