Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis has recovered approximately 15 BTC after an exploit targeted its Bitcoin Bridge. The attack occurred on September 11, and Symbiosis halted its native bitcoin routes and isolated the affected bridge from its infrastructure.

The project offered a 20% bounty to the attacker for the return of funds, which is now being held in a team-controlled multisig wallet worth $1.15 million at current prices. The protocol has also restored bitcoin swaps through third-party partners Chainflip and THORChain.

Symbiosis said it is contacting affected LPs directly and building a compensation framework to be published shortly. The project's relayer network continues to operate, according to Symbiosis.
