TAC Network Halts Operations Amid Vulnerability Discovery
TAC, an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) network connected to TON, has halted validator block production after discovering a vulnerability that affected its Cosmos-based EVM side. According to the project, the issue only impacted the TAC token supply.
The team announced a temporary halt on August 22, which was implemented shortly thereafter. A check of the TAC explorer API showed that the latest block timestamped at 11:58 UTC on August 22, with no further updates as of August 24.
The project has not disclosed any unauthorized TAC amount, dollar loss, exploit transaction or block height, vulnerable component, affected wallets, user losses, or a restart timetable. The team also failed to explain why the problem couldn't be isolated below the full-chain level.
