TAO Surges 18% Amid Bittensor Protocol Upgrades
TAO's price has jumped by 18% in just one day after weeks of being under pressure. The token briefly traded at $277, a level it had not reached before. This surge comes as the Bittensor network undergoes protocol changes, including upgrades to subnet emissions, staking, and root-network rewards.
The recent releases have shifted rewards toward subnets with stronger market demand rather than passive value across every slot. TAO's price structure shows a decisive shift from the August consolidation, where it closed around $230 on August 31 and slipped to roughly $220 on September 1.
The token began building a recovery by September 5, climbing back to about $236 before extending its move to an intraday high near $270 and a close around $265. The next session further extended this move, with TAO trading at $270-$271 and reaching roughly $276-$277 intraday.
