Tariffs, Macroeconomic Pressures Weigh on Bitcoin as ETF Inflows Slow
Bitcoin (BTC) continued to face headwinds on July 24, trading at $65,048 after slipping 1.4% from the previous day's price.
The decline was largely attributed to new tariffs announced by the Trump administration, effective July 24, which added to macroeconomic uncertainty and reduced risk appetite in financial markets.
Despite this, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw nearly $1 billion in inflows over seven consecutive sessions as of July 23, indicating continued institutional interest in regulated Bitcoin exposure.
However, the pace of buying has reportedly slowed, suggesting that while short-term recovery is present, a sustained bullish trend is not yet confirmed.
Ethereum (ETH), on the other hand, broke above a key technical resistance level on July 24, boosting bullish sentiment and highlighting a divergence in performance between Ethereum and Bitcoin.
