Tashkent Citizen Accused of Unlicensed Binance Crypto Operations

A 41-year-old citizen in Tashkent has been accused of illegally conducting unlicensed transfer and exchange operations on the Binance crypto exchange.

The individual, born in Kashkadarya region in 1985, opened a special account on Binance via his mobile phone between 2021 and 2025 without obtaining a license.

Through this account, he carried out nearly 700 operations, with the preliminary value of these transactions amounting to $683,000 or approximately 9 billion soums.

A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 278-8, Part 3, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code.
