tastytrade Unveils Prediction Markets for Active Traders
tastytrade has launched Prediction Markets, a new service that allows active traders to bet on real-world market catalysts. The CFTC-regulated event contracts are powered by Apex Fintech Solutions and can be traded directly within tastytrade's platform.
The offering is fully integrated into the brokerage's existing platform, allowing customers to access event contracts in a segregated account alongside stocks, options, and futures. Contracts are available 24/7, including nights and weekends, and span timeframes from hourly to yearly.
Prediction Markets allows traders to take positions on real-world catalysts such as Federal Reserve decisions, inflation and jobs data, the VIX, crude oil, and major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP. Users can trade defined-risk, yes-or-no contracts that settle based on real-time probabilities.
tastytrade's Head of Brokerage, Pete Mulmat, said the product responds to growing customer demand for simple, directional trades tied to catalysts rather than complex strategies.
