Telegram Introduces Self-Custodial Gram Wallet, Rebrands Wallet Service

Telegram has introduced its self-custodial Gram wallet as the default in user settings, while Wallet in Telegram is rebranding as Walt.

The messaging app's crypto offerings are now centered around two key services: the new self-custodial Gram wallet and Wallet in Telegram, which is transitioning to Walt.

Gram wallet focuses on payments, transfers, and purchases within Telegram, whereas Walt offers a broader range of crypto services including trading, investing, and support for assets across multiple blockchains. Unlike Gram wallet, Walt will no longer be the default crypto wallet but can still be accessed through search.
