Tencent Revenue Climbs 11%, But Heavy AI Investment May Hamper Crypto Adoption
Tencent Holdings reported Q2 2026 revenue of RMB204.8 billion, up 11% from the same period last year. The Chinese tech giant's net profit barely moved, however, as it poured even more funding into AI infrastructure.
The company's spending on AI capex jumped a significant 176% in Q2, according to the report. This increased investment may limit Tencent's near-term corporate funding and partnerships, potentially slowing down crypto adoption and token launch activity.
