Term Finance Vault Exploited: $8.5M Lost in Recent Hack

Term Finance, an Ethereum-based lending platform, has suffered a security breach that drained approximately $8.5 million in digital assets from its Term Vault.

The exploit occurred recently and resulted in the loss of 2,843 ETH (worth roughly $6.9 million) and 1.68 million USDC. The stolen USDC was subsequently swapped for DAI, according to on-chain data.

Term Finance's team is actively investigating the incident and has promised to release further details once their investigation is complete. The exact method of the exploit has not yet been disclosed, but it may involve vulnerabilities in smart contract logic or flash loan attacks.
