Terrahex Secures Initial ASIC Fleet for Nigeria Computing Facility
Terrahex has secured its initial fleet of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for its first 9MW computing facility in Nigeria, which is set to launch in December 2026. The company received its second shipment of ASICs at its processing and quality assurance hub in Florida, US.
The equipment will be used for Bitcoin mining and is undergoing inspection, testing, conditioning, and certification before being shipped to Nigeria. Terrahex has partnered with M3 Miner Repair to provide repair, testing, and quality assurance services at the Florida hub.
The company aims to deploy over 100MW of computing capacity in Nigeria within the next 24 months and is preparing additional supply options. Terrahex has also placed orders for medium-voltage and low-voltage equipment from Belgian manufacturer Datacubes.
