Terrahex Taps Nigeria's Stranded Power for Large-Scale Bitcoin Mining
Terahex, a high-performance computing company founded in 2025 by Olumayowa Ogunnusi, aims to utilize Nigeria's stranded power for Bitcoin mining.
Nigeria faces a significant power problem, with much of its installed capacity unavailable or underutilized. In Q1 2026, only 4,458MW of the country's 13,625MW installed generation capacity was available for dispatch, down 16.9% from Q1 2025.
Terahex plans to deploy 100MW of mining capacity within 24 months and has secured institutional investment backing its growth.
