Tesla may resume accepting Bitcoin payments for its products after halting them in 2021 due to environmental concerns over mining's fossil fuel use.

Elon Musk set a condition for reinstatement: that Bitcoin mining reaches about 50% clean energy usage, a threshold recent data suggests has been met.

Despite this, Tesla has not confirmed any plans to reinstate Bitcoin payments. However, the company still holds 11,509 BTC worth around $386 million, indicating a long-term interest in Bitcoin separate from payment acceptance.
