Tether AI Unveils State-of-the-Art Vision Model for Edge Devices
Tether AI has made significant strides in its push into decentralized artificial intelligence with the unveiling of a state-of-the-art vision model for edge devices.
The new model, which is part of Tether AI's QVAC platform, enables on-device AI inference and training, allowing computers to run AI models locally without sending data to someone else's servers.
The platform has seen several updates in recent months, including the addition of TurboQuant, a quantization optimization that delivers up to 5x memory efficiency improvements. This means larger, more capable models can be run on consumer-grade hardware that would otherwise be overwhelmed by them.
Tether AI's QVAC MedPsy models have been benchmarked against Google's MedGemma, with the 1.7B parameter model scoring 62.62 across multiple medical benchmarks and outperforming MedGemma by 11.42 points.
