Tether and Fasanara Capital Unveil StableFund to Bridge Global SME Financing Gap
Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, and London-based Fasanara Capital have launched StableFund, an evergreen private credit fund aimed at pushing crypto infrastructure into everyday business lending. The $400 million seed capital comes from both firms, and they're targeting up to $3 billion in third-party institutional capital.
The fund will route USD₮ stablecoin settlement infrastructure into SME and consumer lending across more than 60 countries. It's designed to help close the global SME financing gap of around $5.7 trillion through short-duration, asset-backed credit.
Tether acts as Originator and Advisor, supplying USD₮-linked financing opportunities and providing the stablecoin settlement infrastructure. Fasanara Capital serves as Investment Manager, deploying capital through its fintech lending network into short-duration, asset-backed credit strategies.
