Tether Backs Robot Economy with Stablecoin USDT
Tether, the company behind the largest stablecoin USDT, is investing in robotics and artificial intelligence. The company's vision is to create a 'machine economy' where machines can pay for services and goods using digital currency.
The idea of a machine-driven economy may seem like science fiction, but Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, has outlined the concept in an interview. According to him, USDT will not only be used by humans but also by robots and artificial intelligence agents.
Tether has already invested in Generative Bionics, a spin-off of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). The company is developing humanoid robots for industrial use. This investment is part of a larger strategy to back companies working on robotics and AI.
