Tether Expands Hadron Across APAC, Appoints Tokenization Head
Tether is expanding its Hadron tokenization platform across Asia-Pacific (APAC) as it continues to focus on bringing traditional assets onto blockchains. The move comes after Tether reported a significant increase in its digital-asset business, with approximately $184.6 billion of USD₮ issuance at the end of the second quarter of 2026 and $1.5 billion in net operating profit for the quarter.
The company has appointed Jed Nazif as Expansion Manager, Tokenization to drive RWA initiatives and expand Hadron across APAC. Nazif will focus on developing new opportunities around tokenization and real-world assets in the region. Tether's hadron platform supports the tokenization of various assets including stocks, bonds, commodities, funds, and reward points.
The expansion into APAC is a significant step for Tether as it looks to tap into emerging markets where blockchain-based capital-market infrastructure is gaining traction. The company has already made progress in this area with its recent collaboration with First Data and BKN301 to use Hadron for the tokenization of institutional-grade real estate in Saudi Arabia.
