Tether Expands Services Beyond USDT with AI Tools and Gold Reserves
Tether is expanding its services beyond the USDT stablecoin, according to Paolo Ardoino, Tether's CEO. The company has engaged KPMG to audit its reserves, which include about 150 tons of gold. The audit confirmed that Tether's total assets exceed its liabilities by $6.8 billion.
Ardoino stated that Tether has 'long stopped considering itself a crypto company,' instead viewing itself as both a digital dollar company and a digital gold company.
The company plans to launch basic AI tools for users in developing countries, which will be designed for everyday tasks such as healthcare, finance, and sports. These tools will run directly on smartphones without complex infrastructure.
