Tether Explores Blockchain-Based Market Infrastructure with Nairobi Securities Exchange
Tether has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nairobi Securities Exchange to explore blockchain-based market infrastructure and tokenized securities.
The agreement aims to develop digital asset education, real-world asset tokenization, and potentially use Tether's Hadron tokenization platform for issuing and trading tokenized securities.
The memorandum also outlines plans to assess instant settlement mechanisms and the potential use of USDT (the world's largest stablecoin) as a digital settlement infrastructure layer in Kenya, where permitted by regulations.
