Tether-Fasanara Credit Fund Sets Sights on $3 Billion in Outside Capital
Tether and Fasanara Capital have launched an evergreen private credit fund called StableFund, which aims to target up to $3 billion in capital from third-party institutions. The fund has already secured $400 million from the two sponsors. Fasanara will manage the investments while Tether originates USDT-linked deals and runs settlement.
The London-based manager, Fasanara, lends into small-business receivables and consumer credit through fintech platforms, with a portfolio of around $6 billion across more than 60 countries. As originator and adviser, Tether will source USDT-linked opportunities and provide stablecoin settlement for the fund.
The initial focus is on lending to small and medium-sized businesses, which Fasanara estimates has a global financing gap of $5.7 trillion. Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, sees this as an opportunity to 'turn Tether's origination network into a direct channel for capital to flow to the businesses and communities that need it most.'
