Tether, Fasanara Unveil $400M Stablecoin Private Credit Fund
Tether and Fasanara Capital have launched StableFund, an evergreen private credit fund that aims to utilize USDT for cross-border lending. The initiative has committed $400 million of capital from Tether, with a target of up to $3 billion in additional funding from institutional investors.
The partnership combines Tether's stablecoin infrastructure with Fasanara Capital's experience in private credit and asset-backed financing. London-based Fasanara will manage StableFund, investing its capital in short-term loans distributed through financial technology platforms across 60 countries.
The strategy is primarily aimed at providing financing to small and medium-sized businesses as well as consumers. Tether will focus on identifying opportunities linked to USDT while supplying the digital infrastructure needed for international transfers.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the company is positioned to source USDT-linked financing opportunities, providing the required infrastructure for efficient cross-border lending.
